About the workshop
Small repairs. Complete overhauls. And the art of french polish.
John works with antique, vintage and bespoke furniture - from wobbly drawers and loose joints to full restorations. Where a piece calls for it, finishes are built up by hand in traditional shellac, polish and wax.
The aim is always the same: return the piece as close to its original state as the timber will allow, without losing the patina of the life it has already lived.
