Classic Art Deco solid American oak Tallboy of six drawers. Top four drawers are progressively deeper, bottom two deeper again and equal in size. Drawers have dovetailed joints, sides solid kauri,backs solid rimu and oregon ply bottoms. Most of the original handles were broken and been replaced with old art deco chrome and bakelite ones. All the drawers work well. Body sits on solid oak feet with the front ones having a stylish shape. Back is solid rimu tongue and groove boards. A small upstand at the back of the top. There was evidence of some historic borer that has long gone but it has been treated. Great example of NZ made Art Deco furniture.
